Easter is done and dusted! We have an abundance of chocolate from family and friends as well as some lovely books for baby K to read.
We had a fun bank holiday weekend and luckily I booked an extra days annual leave so I’m due back to work on Thursday, yay, so I’m planning on making the most of it with my little man!
The weather on Good Friday was amazing, so little man and I decided to visit Capel Manor Gardens for their Easter Egg Hunt. Baby K decided to wake up at 5:10am, of course he would it’s my first day off work! This meant I was able to be ready to get out the house by 9:45am, we did a quick pit stop at Aldi for some bits and bobs before heading on to Capel Manor.
So there’s me thinking I’m being all organised by arriving early not realising half the parents of Enfield have the same idea, I will definitely be pre-booking next time! It didn’t take too long to get in to the garden area considering how long the line was and once in we were off. We were handed a map showing us around the gardens along with some activities printed on it to carry out in order to get our free egg at the end of the trail.
Baby K had fun running around the gardens following the ‘Bunny Hunt signs’ and running up and down the hill and I had fun looking for the letters to spell out the word ‘Bunnies’ for our egg prize! He also loved looking at the animals, especially the bunnies!
We stopped for a bite to eat round 12:30pm and then carried on to the fun fair to have a go on the tea cups and bouncy castles, we didn’t get a chance to ride the tractor as by this time baby K was knackered and started to get a bit irritable, so we decided to head home and spend the rest of the day with Mr H before he went off on his night shift.
Our plan to visit Hatfield House in Hertfordshire went out the window on Saturday as the weather was awful, so we decided to head to Wyevale Garden Centre in Crews Hill. This has quickly become a favourite place of mine, the garden centre coffee shop has a small soft play in it which means I can sit and have coffee and cake while baby K gets to play without me having to chase after him!
After two eventful days Sunday and Monday was spent with family enjoying some down time and myself and Mr H even managed to squeeze in a cheeky cinema visit to watch the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (thanks mum for babysitting!)
I hope you all had a great Easter and here’s to the next bank holiday, roll on May!
