I love London at Christmas, the lights, the decorations, Christmas music in the shops and the general atmosphere as everyone prepares to spend time with family and friends, which is really what it’s all about.
I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else during this time of year, but it can be busy because there’s so much to do. So here’s a list of a few festive things you can add to your diary to enjoy with your whole family.
☆ Visit a Santa’s Grotto
☆ Let your little one run riot at Hamleys toy store
☆ Go to your local garden centre to see the Christmas decorations
☆ Visit Kew Gardens to see the amazing light displays and have a go on their traditional fun fair rides
☆ Take a walk around the West End to see the lights
☆ Pop down to the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park
☆ Visit your local town centre for the lights being switched on
☆ Grab a hot chocolate and mulled wine at a Christmas Market
☆ Watch a festive Christmas panto as a family
☆ Take your little one ice skating against a back-drop of twinkling lights and Christmas trees
I think it’s safe to say there’s plenty of fun to be had in London during one of my favourite times of the year!
Is there anywhere in particular you like to visit over the Christmas period, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below?
