So the whole time I’ve been a little out of it and trying to figure out how to juggle my new life both Halloween and bonfire night has come and gone and it has only been this past couple of days that it has really started to feel like Autumn has arrived, there’s that crisp, fresh feeling in the air, golden leaves falling off the trees and thanks to the clocks going back it’s offically dark by 5pm.
I don’t know about anyone else but I love Autumn, I mean I love Summer too but there’s something about Autumn and all the fun celebrations and things to look forward to on the run up to Christmas that makes Autumn exciting and now that I’m on maternity leave I have time to really enjoy my favourite time of year.
So here’s a little list of all the fun things I want to do this Autumn, hopefully my threenager will enjoy it too
- Spend loads of time with friends in the lead up to December. I find everyone gets so busy during the festive season that we all go MIA for a month, so I want to make it a point to schedule in dinner dates with friends so nobody has an excuse to not catch up.
- Start my Christmas shopping this month so I don’t have to drag two kids around the shops trying to carry a thousand bags, push a buggy and keep a toddler under control, no sir this year I’m going to be super organised and order as much as I can online!
- Make time to bake with my boy – Last week I made my yearly Christmas cake (click here for the recipe) with the help of my little man we had so much fun together baking that I’ll definitely be making more time to bake cookies and cakes with him.
- We haven’t really been able to enjoy trips to the park since I’ve had my little lady and I absolutely love going for walks in the park in the Autumn so I’ll definitely be cramming as much park time into our days as possible.
What fun things do you have planned for Autumn?
