Bye bye June, hello July! It’s safe to say the weather has been on the up since hitting June and we’ve spent a lot of time trying to get organised for the arrival of our little lady whilst trying to keep baby K as involved as possible. The next two months is going to fly by mainly because of all the things that’ll be happening from now till D-Day, but for now here are a few things that I have liked and loved in June 2017!
☆ Baby K’s 3rd Birthday☆
I can’t believe my baby boy is now three years old, where is the time going and has anyone figured out how to slow it down?
Our original plan for Baby K’s birthday was to take him to Peppa Pig World but that didn’t quite go as expected because of other financial situations that came up, so instead we invited family and friends round for some nibbles and cake. It was still a lovely day and my little man enjoyed playing with his friends and cousins in the garden. Although I have decided that next year I’ll be booking a soft play or something so the kids can go crazy whilst leaving the mess for someone else to deal with!
☆ We’ve finally brought a new car☆
Three years after having my first born we’ve finally brought a new family car and I couldn’t be happier with it. Mr H and I had some differing opinions on what type of car to go for with me wanting a higher set car and him wanting something that looks sportier, I won with the argument of it’ll be me driving it therefore I should have want I want! So we settled on a 2007 plate Volkswagen Touareg in black, I was a bit weary when it arrived purely because I’ve never driven such a big car, but a couple of days in and I have to say I love it! I love having space, being higher up (especially when pregnant, there is no elegant way of getting in and out of a low car when you’re seven months pregs!) and the big boot is a major plus!
☆ Decorating is well underway☆
We had to call the builder in to fix baby K’s bedroom wall because the curtain rail started to come away, so we thought while he’s at it he may aswell give the walls a lick of paint and hang his new blinds up, we haven’t got as far as buying his new bed and mattress yet, hopefully that’ll be sorted in July, but he seems pretty please with the outcome. We’ve also finished painting baby girls room all white and I’ve now started to purchase a few bits but don’t want to go too crazy before her cot and wardrobe are in so I can see the amount of space I have to work with. Hopefully I’ll have a little nursery update soon!
☆ Spending sunny days in the garden with the paddling pool out☆
Last month I brought baby K a paddling pool from Argos but we never got the chance to set it up because the weather took a turn for the worse, now that we’ve had some great weather I’ve pulled it out and we’ve spent some lovely afternoons in the garden with him in the pool and me dipping my feet in followed by a picnic. I can’t think of a better way to spend our days!
