I can’t believe we’ve reached the end of May 2017, the month has literally flown by because of the fact that we’ve been so busy and I’ve had most of the month off of work.
I have been slacking recently with the frequency of my posts since we’ve headed in to 2017, mainly because of the pregnancy and time in general, but now I’m feeling back to my normal self and our holiday is done I can get back to being more organised and focus more on blogging!
☆ A much needed family holiday☆
My parents decided to fly out to North Cyprus to see family this month, so because of the fact that I was going to have to take time off of work to look after baby K we decided to join them and have a last minute holiday.
I looooove Pinterest! I only started using it after I gave birth to baby K, I think it was around his first birthday when my supervisor recommended it to gain ideas from and since then I’ve been hooked. I have used it to gain inspiration for seasonal children’s activities, things to take on a plane when travelling with a toddler, recipes and now ideas for baby girls nursery.
☆ It’s a GIRL!☆
I have to say finding out we’re having a girl was a little bit of a shock but a lovely one at that, I’ve always pictured myself more suited to boys but now that it has sunk in I can’t wait for our little lady to arrive, Mr H’s reaction was the best joy and then fear as he knows girls are different kettle of fish to boys.
We have always said we would like three children if we could afford it but now we know that if we don’t decide to go for baby no. 3 we have one of each, let the adventure begin!
☆ We have a wedding to plan☆
My not so little brother has proposed! I’m so excited for him and my new soon to be sister in law, the date has been set June 17th 2018, which means as soon as little lady is out I’m off to Slimming World, and the planning has begun. I love weddings and it’s especially fun this time round as you can help with the planning without the stress of who is going to sit where!
☆ Baby girl is happily kicking away☆
One of the reasons I thought that baby girls was in fact a girl was the fact that I hadn’t really felt her move around as quick as I did with baby K, now 24 weeks into the pregnancy she’s having a good old move around, especially in the evenings. The funny thing is as soon as Mr H puts his hand on my belly to have a feel the little madam stops, so for now I’m the only one who has really felt her wriggle away.
☆ Working half days☆
This month has gone by so fast mainly because I’ve hardly been at work, we were away on holiday for eleven days and since we’ve been back I’ve been taking half days off because my parents are still away. I have to say though it has been lovely dropping my little man off to nursery and then being the one to pick him up and having the rest of the day together, especially as since we’ve been back the weather has been great.
☆ Getting my nails done☆
I have this thing about having nice, neat nails and since I’ve been pregnant I haven’t really had the time to paint my nails and wait for them to dry, so I’ve started to have them painted with Shellac at my hairdressers every other week and it’s great. I love that I don’t have to worry about them for two weeks as even though they grow they don’t chip, my nails are breaking less because they have the added layer of strength and most of all within one hour I have nice, freshly manicured and painted nails.
