  1. Great list! We have the Bloom Fresco high chair too, in white. It’s one of our favorite items and I like that we can adjust to be used at the dining table or at the kitchen counter. The Aden & Anais swaddles were must-haves for us, even now my son who is 2.5 years old cuddles with one to sleep. #TheList

    • I brought a similar swaddle to the Aden & Anais ones from Kiddicare and they are amazing. We still use ours as well and little man is nearly two. Thanks for commenting x

    • Oh my god I was the same, when my aunt suggested it as a baby shower gift I was like don’t be silly it’s just another pointless gadget, now I’m like it’s AMAZIIIING and recommend it to everyone! x

  2. The bottle prep machine looks fab! We had a vibrating bouncer too and it was the best buy ever. Marianna kept getting in it way after she was too big for it – she’d kick her legs out to make it bounce faster. 🙂

Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday x

    • The bouncers are amazing. I originally got a swing from Mamas and Papas but he wasn’t too keen on it and ended learning to hold on to the side bars to stop it from swinging so we didn’t get much use out of that. He always seemed more comfortable and cosy in the bouncer! x

    • Aww glad I could help! I was using the blankets in the beginning but they can be so fiddley and a bit frustrating! I liked this one because it’s really light and simple to use.

  3. We had the same bounce but in blue. It was great. They’re ace for sticking them in when you need to do something. £300 for a high chair1 I nearly fainted! Ours is an IKEA one that cost £13. Its awesome! 🙂 #KCACOLS

    • My cousin gave us the blue one which I left to my mum but because he loved it so much I literally went on the hunt for the same one, it’s great! Yes the highchair is on the pricey side but we were lucky that my friends chipped in and brought it as a gift, but I do love it! The IKEA ones are great and the price is even better, my cousin had one when we went to visit them (I have a lot of cousins lol!), hers is the one they usually use in store and they’re excellent for pushing up to the table at dinner times. 4. Great list of baby essentials. Thanks.

The swaddle pod looks really useful. We ended up using a baby sleeping bag with our eldest, which did the trick. But we’re thinking of a video monitor and that one looks like a good deal.

  5. I love that high chair!:) Mine are past that stage now (7 & 10 they’re massive!) But I always loved the fact I had a good high chair for meal times. You’ve chosen some really useful items here, video monitors are becoming more and more popular these days. I’m not sure if I would or not, it would take some thinking. I enjoyed your post, it got me broody!:)

    • I agree, I loved having baby K next to us at the table at meal times from when he was a newborn. I’m glad you liked my suggestions, I felt the same with those monitors that came with a mat which the baby lies on to monitor their breathing. I thought it would make me become a bit paranoid, so opted for the basic camera monitor. I get a little broody when we’re in mothercare and I see parents to be choosing their strollers etc and mines not even two yet 🙂 Thanks for commenting x

  6. My two were breastfed, but my sister has that prep machine (on my recommendation as I’d heard about it & thought it sounded great, having heard friends discuss how hard & time consuming sorting out formula at right temp during night feeds is) & loves it. I think it’s great. A luxury, yes, but so useful in simplifying a tedious task that you have to do a lot. A great gift to receive, I think.

Never heard of Orbit buggies – the choice is so overwhelming for buggies. We have a tandem travel system for our two, but will look into that Silvercross as looking to simplify soon since eldest doesn’t need to be in one much longer.

Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday.

    • My aunt brought me the prep machine but I didn’t use it till later, even though I was combination feeding so we did the old fashioned boiled water, waiting for it to cool down etc. the minute I started using I was amazed, it definitely makes life so much easier, couldn’t recommend it enough if you’re bottle feeding!
I agree with the buggies I did so much research before deciding. The new Silvercross pop looks great it has a new extra large sunshade which i have on my Orbit which is great especially when they’re sleeping and I think they go on offer quite a lot as well! x

    • The perfect prep machine is definitely great if you’re bottle feeding, I was a bit dubious at first but then my aunt brought it for my baby shower and now I recommend it to everyone!!

  7. I love the monitor and the fact that you can pan around the room. My little one’s 22 months and I still use it, I feel a bit lost without it to be honest! I tried a sleeping bag with baby K but he didn’t take to it so we ended up switching straight to a blanket. Oooh I didn’t know about white noise, the little Seahorse had wave sounds and music xx
